Mold Testing

We use a variety of State Licensed Mold Assessors that have extensive knowledge in Mold Remediation, Indoor Air Quality, Building Science, and Reconstruction. Some have bachelor’s degrees in science, Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH), and Licensed Professional Engineers (PE).

Depending on your specific needs we have the right State Licensed Mold Assessor for you. Each assessment is tailored to your needs. The inspection & testing includes a visual inspection, infrared imaging – moisture detection (if applicable), temperature & relative humidity readings, pictures, air samples and or swab samples, Accredited Lab Results, and a Mold Remediation Protocol (if applicable). Post Remediation Verification (PRV) – Clearance testing is also available and recommended after completion of the Mold Remediation.

Pricing is competitive and based on how many air or swab samples are taken, and the complexity of your specific needs. Call now to discuss the issues you are experiencing and to schedule an inspection.

Since 2011 the State of Florida has regulated Mold Related services. Therefore, mold growth over 10sqft must be performed by a State Licensed Mold Remediator. Prior to the remediator, a State Licensed Mold Assessor must perform an inspection, take air samples to determine if the affected area has an elevated mold spore count, or if the adjacent area has been cross contaminated. The Assessor must write a Mold Remediation Protocol, which explains what needs to be remediated. The Protocol stipulates what the source of the water and or mold issue is. The source must be corrected prior to any Mold Remediation services starting.

After the completion of the Mold Remediation, the Mold Assessor returns to perform Post Remediation Verification (PRV) – Clearance testing. This post inspection and testing verifies that the work was completed. It confirms all building materials that needed to be removed, were removed. The remaining building materials are within a dry standard. Visually there is no debris, dust, dirt, or mold in the affected area or on materials. The air and possibly swab samples verify the indoor mold spore count is within normal limitations.

If the Mold Remediator fails the Clearance testing, the Mold Remediator MUST RETURN FREE OF CHARGE TO CORRECT THE ISSUE(S). THEY MUST ALSO PAY FOR THE MOLD ASSESSOR TO RETURN TO PERFORM ANOTHER CLEARANCE TEST.
